Some places have a way of drawing people back, generation after generation.
Avebury is one of them.
For thousands of years, people have travelled to this ancient landscape to gather, reflect and mark life's important moments. While no one can say exactly why our ancestors chose this place, it's easy to understand why it continues to capture people's imagination today.
Over six days, we'll walk between ancient monuments, sleep in historic churches that have welcomed pilgrims for centuries, and spend time in a landscape that invites us to slow down and pay attention.
Whether you're drawn by the history, the mystery or simply a feeling you can't quite explain, Avebury offers the rare opportunity to step away from everyday life and experience a different rhythm of living.

Every pilgrimage has its own rhythm.
It begins with arriving, unfolds through shared experience, and ends with returning home carrying something different from when you left.
Arrival
Every pilgrimage begins in the same way.
Not with the first step, but with the decision to leave ordinary life behind.
As everyone arrives, we'll gather in the beautiful church of St Katherine and St Peter in Winterbourne Bassett. We'll share a meal, get to know one another and settle into our first night beneath a roof that has welcomed pilgrims for centuries.
There's nothing you need to achieve here.
Just arrive.
The Journey
Over the following days we'll walk through one of Britain's most ancient sacred landscapes, following old paths between stone circles, long barrows, churches and villages that have welcomed pilgrims for generations.
We'll visit places including Windmill Hill, Silbury Hill, West Kennet Long Barrow, the Sanctuary and the Avebury stone circle, while also making time for meditation, yoga, shared meals and moments of quiet reflection. Along the way we'll be joined by members of the local community, including a guided walk through the stones with a local Pagan priest.
The pace isn't about covering miles.
It's about walking with intention.
The Return
Every pilgrimage comes to an end, but the journey doesn't stop when you head home.
On our final day we'll complete our walk where it began, gathering one last time to reflect on the days we've shared together before returning to everyday life.
Whether you leave with new friendships, a deeper appreciation for this ancient landscape or simply a quieter mind, the hope is that you'll return home feeling a little more connected—to yourself, to those around you and to the path ahead.
